Program Description

Partnering with UNIVA La Universidad Catolica students and faculty explore the healthcare system in Guadalajara, Mexico observing public and private hospitals and health clinics. There is a special focus on musculoskeletal disorders and prevalence and management of diabetes during the time spent in Guadalajara.

Faculty Leader: Dr. Megan Donaldson, PT Faculty

Coursework – Students participating in a Global Health program will enroll in NURS390 (H2B) Issues in Global Healthcare in the Spring 2018 semester. This course will explore the principles and goals of global health including an introduction to health systems, the burden of disease, and ways to improve global health.
