Program Description

Spend your Spring Break learning and serving in border communities of Laredo, Texas and Nuevo Laredo, Mexico with Dr. Koop Berry's GFA Service Learning course, "The Border: U.S.-Mexican Integration and Separation". In this course, you will examine the complex relationship between these countries in class and on both sides of the U.S.-Mexican border.

Participants will spend the evenings in Laredo, Texas and visit various social, governmental, and educational sites in the community of Laredo and across the border in Laredo Nuevo, Mexico.

Students in this program will enroll in GFA 312 in the Spring of 2018. This course is designated as an H1/SL.
